Tork Craft Bearing Lock Medium Strength for Standard-Sized Cylindrical Parts (Yellow)
At a Glance: 50 g medium-strength anaerobic adhesive for bearings and bushings on shafts or in housings
The Tork Craft TCTL010P Bearing Lock is designed to securely bond cylindrical components such as bearings, shafts, bushes and sleeves made of brass, zinc or steel. The anaerobic adhesive cures between tightly fitted metal surfaces, providing retention that resists vibration and loosening — yet remains serviceable when disassembly is needed. Ideal for workshop maintenance, machinery repair, motor re-builds or general mechanical assemblies where bearing or bushing retention is required.
This adhesive is formulated for standard-sized cylindrical parts — perfect when press-fit tolerances are marginal or when you want to reinforce a mechanical joint without permanent locking. It helps prevent slippage, loosening or leakage under shock and vibration while still allowing future disassembly with standard tools.
Extra Information
- Use only on clean, oil-free metal parts — surfaces must be degreased before adhesive application for proper curing and bonding.
- Apply adhesive to both mating surfaces before assembly for best capillary distribution and strength.
- Parts can be handled after approx. 40 minutes; full strength develops in about 120 minutes.
- Not suitable for non-metal materials such as plastic, wood or rubber — only for metal cylindrical parts (brass, zinc, steel).
- Store adhesive in a cool, dry place and ensure cap is firmly closed after use to prevent premature curing.
Pro Tip
- When installing bearings or bushes, slide parts into place immediately after applying adhesive — the liquid adhesive needs the tight fit to cure properly.
- If assembling shafts or housings that might require future disassembly, choose this medium-strength adhesive rather than a high-strength retaining compound to allow easier maintenance later on.
Features
- Medium-strength anaerobic adhesive — bonds metal cylindrical parts while allowing later disassembly if needed
- Suitable for brass, zinc and steel — compatible with common bearing and shaft materials
- Low-viscosity formulation for good capillary action and even distribution between tight metal fits
- 50 g size — enough for multiple bearing or bushing assemblies
- Cures without air exposure — sets rapidly between close-fitting metal surfaces
Benefits
- Secure bearing/shaft fit: prevents movement, loosening or slippage of bearings, bushes or sleeves under load or vibration.
- Maintains serviceability: medium strength allows future maintenance or part replacement without destructive removal.
- Reliable retention under mechanical stress: ideal for rotating shafts, couplings, motor assemblies, gearboxes and other mechanical joints.
- Cleaner, seal-friendly joint: fills microscopic gaps between metal surfaces and can help reduce leakage in housings where lubricant or grease is used.
- Versatile for workshop use: useful for repair, maintenance, retrofits or initial assembly in metalworking and machinery maintenance tasks.
Safety
- Work in a well-ventilated area when applying adhesive, and avoid inhaling vapours.
- Wear protective gloves to avoid skin contact; avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
- Keep out of reach of children and store sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct heat or flame.
- Do not use on wet, oily or dirty metal surfaces — ensure parts are clean and dry before application.
- Dispose of empty container according to local waste-disposal regulations for chemical products.
