• This is the Basic version and is supplied without battery pack and charger.
• The saw is compatible with Festool 18 V battery packs, with the 8.0 Ah Li-HighPower battery pack recommended for top performance and runtime.
• It is also compatible with the 5.0 Ah Li-HighPower battery pack.
• The HKC 55 KEB-Basic can be used freehand, with Festool FS guide rails or with Festool FSK cross-cutting guide rails.
• FSK rails are available in different cutting lengths and are useful for mobile repeat cross cuts and angled cuts.
• The Basic set does not include an FSK cross-cutting guide rail or FS guide rail.
• For best results, use the correct Festool 160 mm thin-kerf saw blade for the material being cut.

Safety

• Wear eye, ear and dust protection when cutting timber, board products, decking, cladding or construction materials.
• Use the correct saw blade for the material being cut.
• Check that the saw blade is sharp, undamaged and securely fitted before use.
• Do not bypass or ignore safety features such as KickbackStop, the guide wedge and the quick-acting brake.
• Clamp or support the workpiece properly before cutting.
• Keep hands clear of the blade path and never reach underneath the workpiece while cutting.
• Allow the blade to reach full speed before entering the material.
• Do not force the saw through the cut; use a steady feed rate suitable for the blade and material.
• Use dust extraction whenever possible, especially when cutting OSB, chipboard, fibreboard or dusty materials.
• Remove the battery pack before changing blades, adjusting the saw or carrying out maintenance.
• Allow the saw blade to stop completely before lifting the saw from the cut or placing it down.
